St. Stephen's is an active community of Christians with a
lively, welcoming liturgy, an engaging Christian education
program and young adult ministry, and a wide range of
outreach ministries in our community.
These outreach ministries include St. Stephen's Youth
Programs, which offers the B-READY after-school program
during the school year for 180 young people and the B-SAFE
program during the summer for 530 young people ages five to
twenty. Both serve as a place for neighborhood kids to
receive academic support, access computer technology, and
enjoy a wide range of cultural enrichment and recreational
activities. The Youth Programs have grown over the years,
and additional after-school and summer program sites are now
hosted across the city at other Episcopal churches and the
Epiphany School.
We also offer a food pantry that provides food for households
in need.
All of these programs are made possible through the
generosity of our partner congregations and the hard work
and dedication of our invaluable staff and volunteers.
