By public transportation: Take the orange line to Back Bay and go out the Dartmouth Street side.
Take a left on Dartmouth and walk about 10 minutes down, till you pass Tremont Street. Dartmouth
turns into West Dedham at Tremont. Go one block to Shawmut Ave. Take a right on Shawmut Ave.
and go just past the 1st light. St. Stephen's Church is on your right - 419 Shawmut Ave, across from
Blackstone Park. OR, take the green line to Copley, walk down Dartmouth and follow directions
above. OR, take the silver line from Downtown Crossing or Dudley Station to the East Newton Street
stop. Walk across the park to Shawmut and up one block to 419.
From the Mass. Pike: Take the Mass Pike eastbound to the Copley/Prudential Center exit, Exit 22.
Stay to the Right and follow signs for Copley. Stay in the Right lane as you exit the ramp, and take
the first immediate Right onto Dartmouth St. at the stoplights. Continue through 3 sets of lights.
(Dartmouth will change into West Dedham St. as it crosses Tremont at the third set.) Pass Villa
Victoria (Elderly Housing) and turn Right onto Shawmut Ave. at the stop sign, by Blackstone
Elementary School. St. Stephen's is two blocks up on the right, opposite Blackstone Square. There is
on-street parking in the area. Don't park in resident only spots, you may get a ticket.
From I-93 N (Providence, South Shore, etc.): Take Exit 20 toward I-90/Logan
Airport/Worcester/South Station. Take Frontage Road exit on left toward South Station. Stay right
on Frontage Road North. Take a left on Albany St. Take a slight right to stay on Albany St. Take a
right on Malden St. Malden St. becomes Monsignor Reynolds Way, and then becomes West Dedham
St. Take a left on Shawmut Ave, and go just past the 1st light. St. Stephen's Church is on your right
- 419 Shawmut Ave, across from a park. There is on-street parking in the area. Don't park in resident
only spots, you may get a ticket.
From I-93 S (North Shore, etc.): Take Exit 20 toward I-90 West/Worcester/Albany St. Take the
Albany St. exit on the left toward South Boston. Stay straight on Albany St. Take a slight right to
stay on Albany St. Take a right on Malden St. Malden St. becomes Monsignor Reynolds Way, and

From Brookline/Jamaica Plain: Take Huntington Ave/Route 9 eastbound towards the city, to
Mass. Ave. Take a right on Mass. Ave and take it to Tremont Street. Take a left on Tremont and go
to West Dedham (on your right). Take a right on West Dedham and go one block to Shawmut Ave.

From Roxbury/Dorchester: Take Columbus Ave into the city until it merges with Tremont. When
Columbus splits from Tremont, stay on Tremont and take Tremont into the South End until you pass
Mass. Ave and come to West Dedham. Take a right on West Dedham and go one block to Shawmut
Ave. Take a right on Shawmut Ave. and go just past the 1st light. St. Stephen's Church is on your

From Cambridge/Somerville/Medford: Take Mass. Ave to the Boston side of the river, through
